QI certification

Wireless Power Consortium, founded in December 17, 2008, is a cooperative organization composed of several independent companies. The aim is to create and promote the widely used international charging standard Qi, which is compatible with all rechargeable electronic devices.
As of October 2017, WPC has 289 members from various segments of the domestic and foreign industries, including 289 brands, including apple, Samsung, Microsoft, LG electronics, PHILPS, NOKIA, SONY, Weili Valley VLG, Wisepower and so on, which have been included in the WPC alliance.

Introduction of the Alliance

The union of wireless charging is governed by the Charter of the union, which stipulates the aspects of confidentiality, intellectual property and decision making. The mission of the wireless charging alliance is to create and promote the widely used international charging standard Qi, which is compatible with all rechargeable electronic devices.
The alliance is managed by the steering committee, and each fixed member has one seat in each of them. The chairman of the steering committee is Menno Treffers. Technical specifications were set up by the specification working group, and the working group meeting was chaired by Chairman Scott Mollema. The promotion team is responsible for the communication between the alliance and the outside world. Its chairman is Camille Tang.

The telephone, camera, remote controller and all mobile electronic products with logo will be compatible with all the charging seats with signs, simple and obvious.

The wireless charging alliance accepts all applications of any company as members. All companies can use relevant standards and marks without distinction. We believe that this standard will be popularized in all products and markets.

Technical specifications

The charging time of the wireless charging standard will be equal to that of the existing wired charger technology, and is consistent with the main provisions and emission standards of the international radiation safety. The League will first set up international standards for devices under 5 watts and will then set international standards for high-power devices and equipment.

Technology

Short distance transmission is usually based on electromagnetic induction. With this technology, the receiver will transmit electricity only when it is near the transmitter. The discovery of magnetic induction technology can be traced back to more than 100 years ago. Because of its simplicity, efficiency and safety, it has been applied to various electronic devices for many years.

On September 2010, the world's first wireless charging Union, the world's first standard organization to promote wireless charging technology, announced in Beijing that the Qi wireless charging international standard was first introduced into China. The Ministry of information industry's electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) quality supervision and inspection center also joined the organization.

Wireless charging technology uses a unified industrial standard. In the next few years, hand-held phones, PMP/MP3 players, digital cameras, portable computers and other products all can use a new low energy, high compatibility of the same wireless charger. The charger is similar to a tray, which is directly plugged into the power supply, and the Alliance - certified "Qi" identifies the different brands of the different brands of the enterprise to be charged directly on it.
